Let's put Christ in the White House!!!

Over the years Christianity seems to be diminishing expecially in politics. Not that the two need to mix but we need more Christian values in the White House. I love my country and I can only pray that Obama gets voted out. This year is so important. We have to make that stand!! Don't complain if you aren't willing to do something about it. Get busy, get involved!! We are the ones that have to make the CHANGE, not Obama!!! If I could, I would put Christ in the White House. But since I can't, I will vote for every Christian Conservative on the ballot and I hope you will, too.

NC House District 3 Candidate Wayne Langston

An Important Message to NC District 3 Residents:

It is with great gratitude that I extend my heartfelt appreciation for your support during this campaign.  The issues North Carolina and the nation face will only be solved by God-fearing, conservative-based elected officials who are elected by citizens of Christian Faith.  Citizens, like you, who have had enough of the political nonsense, are now standing tall on their traditionalist base, and I say, “God bless you all” for your courage.

Now more than ever, it is time for Christians to stand together united with one goal – to reassert our values and faith on our states and our country!  The first Amendment to the Constitution of the United States defines clearly that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…”  Government must stay out of the business of religion.  Those of faith however, have every right in government!  Our republic belongs to the people.

We are a peace loving people to a fault when it comes to allowing government to run roughshod over us.  Politicians are not smarter, braver, or more religious than us.  They are human beings who have followed a path and then succumbed to the power of the office.  We must put an end to corruption by electing faith-based men and women who will focus on the truth and rely on their faith, values, and fairness to make the tough decisions.

As a citizen, your help is needed now!  Why?  Because we can’t sit idly by and do nothing any longer – we must act now and we must continue to voice our opinion.
Ø  Your vote does count – Vote
Ø  Your voice is important – Encourage others to vote
Ø  Speak your mind – Respectfully notify your politicians about your concerns.  Tell them what you expect of them, and
Ø  Hold them accountable for their actions once in office.

My name is Wayne Langston and I am proudly running for the North Carolina House District 3 seat, and I want you to know where I stand on these issues:

« Small & Limited Government            « Major Educational Overhaul
« Less Regulation                                     « Increase in Military Strength
« Reduced Taxes                                        « Commonsense Energy Independence
« Voter ID                                                      « NO Ferry Tax
« Lower Corporate Taxes                                « Reduced Administrative Costs
    « Pro-Life                                                      « Accountability and Transparency
    « States’ Rights                                          « Marriage between 1 Man & 1 Woman
« Fairness & Equality                              « Business Friendly State = Jobs

Friends, I ask you to help me help our state.  My heart and faith are exposed so that you may know me better.  I am for God, Family and Country and I ask for your support, on May 8th, with my pledge that I will strive each day, to represent our interests openly and honestly in a Godly way.
Please feel free to contact me via email me with any questions or concerns.  I look forward to hearing from you.

 Kindest regards,

Wayne Langston

El Shaddi

Genesis 17:1 says, “And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect.”

The phrase “I am the Almighty God” comes from the Hebrew phrase “El Shadday,” which the American vernacular has changed to the more commonly used “El Shaddai.”

The Hebrew #410 “El” is translated “God” or “god” 229 times in the KJV Bible and is the root for the more frequently used #430 “Elohiym” which is translated “God” or “god” 2,591 times in the Old Testament. “El” simply means the strong and mighty one.

The Hebrew #7706 “Shadday” is translated “Almighty” forty-eight times in the KJV Old Testament. “Shadday” is first used in this verse when the Lord reveals Himself to Abram as “Almighty God.”

The origin of the word “Shadday” is divided between two opinions. Strong’s Concordance says that #7706 “Shadday” comes from the Hebrew #7703 “shadad” and means all powerful, Almighty.

The Adam Clarke Commentary and the Dakes Bible both indicate that #7706 “Shadday” comes from the Hebrew “shadah” which means to shed and to pour out. They suggest that the phrase “El Shaddai” means, I am the God who pours out blessings, who gives them richly, abundantly, and continually.

This latter definition is more fitting to the context of Genesis 17:1, especially since the following verse’s talk about God cutting covenant with Abram and pouring into his life an abundance of blessings.

Dakes says that the term “El Shaddai” means “the Breasted One” and pictures God as the Strong - Nourisher, the Strength - Giver, Satisfier, All-Bountiful, Supplier of the needs of His people.

It is also interesting to note that the Septuagint translates the word “shadday” with the Greek “pantokrator” “Almighty,” the “One who has His hand on everything.”

God has His hand on everything. But to experience this revelation of “El Shaddai,” the God who richly pours out blessings, there was something that God required from Abram.

The promise of God’s peace -

The promise of God’s peace -
The Lord’s peace is intended to benefit all of mankind; and for the fruitful Christian, it is a major component of a his life in God. But in reality, most people experience very little of the abiding peace of God because they fail to understand that the promises of God are always conditional, they require us to do something before we receive His promised blessing.

To receive the promise of peace, you must follow Jesus instructions, “Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

The word “heart” is the Greek #2588 “kardia” which the Vine’s Dictionary defines as man’s entire mental and moral activity, both the rational and the emotional elements. The heart is the seat of man’s moral and spiritual life, and includes his emotions, his thoughts, and his will.

In other words, you have to keep our mental, emotional, and moral activity free from the anxiety and agitation that robs peace from your life.

The Amplified says, “Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]”

To walk in an uninterrupted state of peace, control must be maintained over your emotions and your thoughts by refusing to allow yourself to be continuously agitated and disturbed about the circumstances of life. You must take charge over your emotional and thought life.

The person that prays for peace and at the same time continues to be anxious and troubled in his mind will experience very little of the peace of God. Peace will be a short-lived and ephemeral experience.

But when we discipline ourselves to think the “thoughts of God” and keep our mind focused upon the Lord, peace will be a constant companion.

McDonald’s declares itself ‘ally’ of gay group

McDonald’s declares itself ‘ally’ of gay group

Story by AFA Journal Staff. Sources cited for News of Interest indicate source of basic information only. May 2008

Perhaps selling Big Macs and fries just wasn’t enough for McDonald’s. Now the largest fast-food chain in the world has added the gay agenda to its menu.
In March, Richard Ellis, vice president of communications for McDonald’s USA, joined the board of directors for the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC).
Following the election of Ellis to the group’s board, Heidi M. Barker said, “McDonald’s is indeed a corporate partner and organizational ally of NGLCC.” Barker is senior director of media relations for McDonald’s.
On its Web site, the NGLCC gave credit to sponsors such as McDonald’s for the financial support that helps in its work. “Through the commitment of our corporate partners, the NGLCC has been able to advance the ideas and causes of the LGBT business community,” the group said. The amount of the financial support was undisclosed.
“Don’t let the name of the organization fool anybody,” said Tim Wildmon, AFA president. “The National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce may exist to help homosexuals in the business world, but it’s also a staunch supporter of the gay agenda.”
The NGLCC lobbies members of Congress on issues such as the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, hate crimes laws and measures seeking to elevate same-sex couples to the same status as married couples, according to its Web site.
McDonald’s has long prided itself on its sense of corporate duty. At the company’s 2007 shareholder’s meeting, CEO Jim Skinner said, “Being a socially responsible organization is a fundamental part of who we are. We have an obligation to use our size and resources to make a difference in the world … and we do.”
Wildmon said AFA is asking supporters to express their opinion to the fast-food giant. Contact:

Democracy needs Christianity

Democracy needs ChristianityDemocracy needs Christianity
by Tim Wildmon
AFA president

"The Americans show, by their practice, that they feel the high necessity of imparting morality to democratic communities by means of religion."
Alexis deTocqueville, 1840
Democracy needs Christianity 1
In 1840, a Frenchman named Alexis de Tocqueville published the second volume of his two part work known as Democracy in America, based on his travels through the United States in 1831. Tocqueville was a political thinker, historian and journalist.

He was curious about this New World to which many Europeans were immigrating, and so he set out to observe and experience American life.
I encourage anyone to read this work. It’s a very compelling account of life in America in that snapshot of time. There is much to learn about history from reading this outsider’s view because of his comparisons of America to Europe. The popularity of Democracy in America was in large part because it was so comprehensive, and it was considered objective and fair by most historians and readers. There was no political or philosophical ax to grind. Tocqueville wrote about the great, the good, the bad and the ugly. Although I have not finished both volumes in their entirety, I was struck by this particularly poignant passage which opens chapter 15 in volume two:
In the United States, on the seventh day of every week, the trading and working life of the nation seems suspended; all noises cease; a deep tranquillity, say rather the solemn calm of meditation, succeeds the turmoil of the week, and the soul resumes possession and contemplation of itself. Upon this day the marts of traffic are deserted; every member of the community, accompanied by his children, goes to church, where he listens to strange language which would seem unsuited to his ear. He is told of the countless evils caused by pride and covetousness; he is reminded of the necessity of checking his desires, of the finer pleasures which belong to virtue alone, and of the true happiness which attends it. On his return home, he does not turn to the ledgers of his calling, but he opens the book of Holy Scripture; there he meets with sublime or affecting descriptions of the greatness and goodness of the Creator, of the infinite magnificence of the handiwork of God, of the lofty destinies of man, of his duties, and of his immortal privileges. …
I have endeavored to point out in another part of this work the causes to which the maintenance of the political institutions of the Americans is attributable; and religion appeared to be one of the most prominent amongst them. I am now treating of the Americans in an individual capacity, and I again observe that religion is not less useful to each citizen than to the whole State. The Americans show, by their practice, that they feel the high necessity of imparting morality to democratic communities by means of religion. What they think of themselves in this respect is a truth of which every democratic nation ought to be thoroughly persuaded.

To Tocqueville the emphasis on the Christian religion in America permeated the whole society, advanced individual and corporate morality and was the glue that held the country together.Nearly 40 years before Tocqueville, no less a man that President George Washington had said the same thing in his Farewell Address:
Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of man and citizens.

If America does not soon have a Christian revival on a large scale, we will slowly die and history will record us only as the great nation that was.

Pentagon violates DOMA

AFA Pentagon violates DOMA, threatens religious liberty
The Pentagon has decided that military chaplains will be allowed to perform same-sex unions on military installations despite the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act which, for federal purposes, defines marriage as the union of one man and one woman.

Tim Wildmon, president of the American Family Association, issued the following statement in response:

“This decision clearly violates the spirit of DOMA, because the result will be federal employees and facilities funded by American taxpayers to perform ceremonies that have no legal recognition under federal law. This is just more craven capitulation to the homosexual agenda. While conservative chaplains aren’t being forced to perform same-sex marriages yet, it will only be a matter of time before they are tagged as homophobic bigots and forced to choose between their values and a military career. We need courageous leaders in Washington who will work to reinstate the ban on homosexuality in the armed services while there is still room for people of faith.”

American Family Studios releases October Baby -- a family story of hope, life and forgiveness
After a resounding success in a limited release, October Baby will premier nationally on March 23, 2012. American Family Studios, a division of the American Family Association, has partnered with Provident Films and Gravitas Productions for the national release.

October Baby is the coming-of-age story of Hannah Lawson, who at age 19 discovers she was adopted, Her first reaction is anger toward her parents for keeping that secret. Then, against her dad’s approval, she hits the road, determined to find her birth mother. In that search, she uncovers more unsettling secrets, including the fact that she is the survivor of a failed abortion. But that trip also leads her toward hope, meaning, forgiveness and reconciliation.

John Schneider and Chris Sligh (American Idol, 2007 season) star in the film, and Dave Johnson (creator of Sue Thomas FBEye and Doc) is executive producer.

The Dove Foundation awarded October Baby a Family Approval seal and said, “This is a terrific and touching story and this film should be seen by those who recognize the horrors of abortion.” Because of the theme, the Dove review suggested that it is appropriate for viewers 12 and older.

October Baby is high on entertainment value, but its depth comes in the enlightening way it handles the abortion issue. You will laugh, you will cry, and you will love October Baby. You cannot watch October Baby and not be moved!

Kirk's faith comes under vicious attacks by pro-homosexual activists
March 9, 2012

Evangelist and actor Kirk Cameron has come under hateful pressure by homosexuals for simply stating God's view that marriage is between one man and one woman.
Appearing on CNN's Peirs Morgan show this week to promote his new movie MONUMENTAL: In Search of America's National Treasure, Kirk was repeatedly badgered by the host to share his views on homosexuality. (See my P.S. below)
Cameron told CNN's Piers Morgan that marriage "was defined in the garden between Adam and Eve -- one man, one woman for life." He added that in his view, homosexuality is "socially destructive," "unnatural," "detrimental, and ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization." Watch the CNN interview here.
Immediately, the homosexual media pressure group GLAAD (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) began attacking Kirk as an "anti-gay extremist." And, the liberal Hollywood crowd wasted no time joining the hateful rhetoric. Rock musician Nikki Sixx blasted Cameron as "a--hole of the week" and Roseanne Barr called Cameron "an accomplice to murder with his hate speech." See GLAAD's shameful website attack here.
"I expressed the same views that are expressed clearly and emphatically throughout the Judeo-Christian scriptures. As a Bible-believing Christian, I could not have answered any other way..." - Kirk Cameron, referring to the CNN interview.
Increasingly, social bullies like GLADD are merciless in their attack on Christians who openly share their faith, and God's truth that the homosexual lifestyle is sinful. Kirk is not ashamed of the Gospel and I think he deserves our thanks.
TAKE ACTION
AFA is proud to stand with Kirk Cameron for proclaiming the truth. I hope you will stand with him too!
